Anand "Andy" Athreya

Biography

 

Anand Athreya “Andy” Serves as Cavirin’s Technical Advisory Board Member. He is the CDO of Juniper Networks, responsible for all of engineering. He also oversees initiatives that are transforming Juniper’s R&D and test environments. Since joining Juniper Networks in 2004, Athreya has held various leadership positions within the Internet and Security Products groups, and most recently served as Vice President of Engineering for the Branch Services Business Unit. Athreya joined Juniper from Procket Networks, where he served as Director of Software Engineering. Prior to that, he was Vice President of Engineering at Malibu Networks, Assistant Vice President of Product Management and Strategy at Tiara Networks, and held management roles at Novell.
Athreya has consistently delivered successful products to market for Juniper customers, including J-Series, Junos Security Software, Branch SRX, MX, PTX, and ACX Systems, and has been instrumental in securing key customer wins around the globe. Athreya holds a Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering from Bangalore University, a master’s degree in CSE from Osmania University, and an MBA from National University. He is also a graduate of the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School and holds several networking-related patents.

Randy Barr is a seasoned Security and IT veteran with over 20 years of Information Technology and leadership experience. Randy is the Chief Security Officer at Aryaka Networks and leads the company’s Global Security and IT operations. Prior to joining Aryaka, Randy served as the VP and CISO of Saba Software and was responsible for building the company’s global security infrastructure from the ground up. Prior to Saba, Randy held several management and key Security and IT positions at leading cloud companies, including ServiceSource, Qualys, Yodlee, and WebEx Communications. Randy is one of the top security officers in the SaaS space and has been selected for three straight years as a “top Security Executive” by ExecRank. Randy also serves on the advisory boards of several cloud companies. Randy is a frequent speaker at Information Technology and security conferences.

Niall Browne (CISA, CCSP, CISSP, CCSI) is the SVP of Trust & Security and CSO at Domo. He has over 16 years of experience building and managing enterprise security programs, and with the last 8 years leading security for Cloud platforms. Niall is currently the Chair of the Steering committee, as well as the Cloud & Mobile committee for the BITS Shared Assessments Program. The leading US banks and the big 4 accounting firms, created the vendor management program, to evaluate vendors worldwide. Over 2,000 assessments across 120 countries are completed annually. As a service provider, Niall has completed numerous security assessments including PCI-DSS level-1, ISO 27001, SOX, COBIT, SysTrust, SSAE 16, Agreed Upon Procedures (AUP), as well as federal FFIEC examinations.

Dr. Taher Elgamal is an internationally respected information security leader and cryptographer. He was the recipient of the lifetime achievement award from the RSA conference in 2009. He has successfully served as a CISO, Chief Scientist, CTO, as well as a founder and CEO of numerous key organizations. Dr. Elgamal invented several industry and government standards in data security and digital signatures for areas including the DSS government standard for digital signatures. He is recognized in the industry as the "father" of SSL.

Biography

Nemi is currently Senior Director of Information Security & Service Operations at Pacific Dental Services – one of the country’s leading dental support organizations (DSO) providing supported autonomy to more than 630 dental practices. Prior to moving to the USA, Nemi worked with Vodafone for over 9 years in a number of roles across architecture, information security, managed service operations, and compliance security & risk. Nemi is a member of the British Computer Society, ISACA, and holds the following professional qualifications: CISA - Certified Information Systems Auditor; CISM – Certified Information Security Manager, EC Council’s C|CISO – Certified Chief Information Security Officer; ITIL V3 Foundation & Intermediate. Nemi also serves as an Executive Consultant helping businesses strike the right balance between managing Information Security risks and implementing additional security controls.

Robert D. Rodriguez is the Chairman & Founder of SINET (www.security-innovation.org). Since 2005 Robert has advised and coordinated the public-private sector outreach for DHS S&T, SRI International, Stanford University, United Kingdom Government; Cabinet, Home and Cybersecurity, Digital Communications and Economy Unit, Australian Government DATA 61 & AustCyber, UNC- Charlotte, The Department of Defense, United States Postal Service and participated as a member of the US Air Force Cybersecurity Advisory Board. He has been called upon numerous times by private industry and the Federal Government to help advise and build private sector outreach initiatives with corporations, the entrepreneurial and venture capital communities. Previously, Robert served 22 years as a Special Agent with the United States Secret Service where he held a number of executive leadership positions within the Presidential Protection, Protective Intelligence, Inspection and Criminal Investigation Divisions and the Counter Assault Team. His executive protection experience spanned 10 years at the White House serving Presidents Ronald W. Reagan, George H. Bush, William J. Clinton and numerous Heads of State. He sits on numerous Cybersecurity Advisory Boards, is a Venture Partner with SineWave Ventures, serves as Director Emeritus for the San Francisco Foster Farms Bowl, Standard Governing Board for Digital Rights Management (xDTM) and is a certified graduate of the Federal Government’s Senior Executive Service Program.

As a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), Matt leads the information security function for Logicworks. His role includes responsibility for information security governance, risk management, strategy, and architecture in both internal and client computing environments. He is actively engaged in defining security and compliance service offerings delivered to Logicworks clients. Previously, he established and operated an enterprise risk and information security program for a multi-national, publicly traded product manufacturer with wholesale, retail, and e-commerce operations. Matt also served for more than 10 years as a strategic advisor to CISOs of Fortune 500 and global institutions and holds the Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) credential among several others.
