Job Description: 

Enthusiastic and self-motivated sales engineer with 5 years of experience in a technical pre-sales role providing technical expertise in a security software product or solution sales environment, to help drive Cavirin’s hybrid cloud security solutions across AWS, GCP, Azure, and Docker.  This exceptional individual will be responsible for supporting Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Phoenix, Los Angeles, and Seattle.

The Role:

As a technical pre-sales engineer, you’ll contribute to sales by providing technical expertise and support to Cavirin’s customers, partners and sales teams. You will:

  • Assist in qualifying sales leads from a technical standpoint
  • Be the main technical resource on sales calls and answer/educate the customer on issues ranging from features, specifications, and functionality to integration.
  • Be the lead technical contact for identified accounts for technical issues and will work closely with the technical support team and engineering to answer, elevate and resolve customer's technical issues. 

You’ll demonstrate our product’s capabilities and its ability to solve specific customer problems, while contributing to build referenceable accounts and positive brand awareness.  While caring deeply about meeting revenue targets, you’ll also focus on customer success and satisfaction by attending customer meetings, and sharing your learnings about how they work with the sales team. A pro-active team player, you’ll aim to get the best out of those around you, and you’ll be as comfortable presenting in person as you are via conference call and web demo platforms. You will learn, participate and work closely with engineering teams to continue to build your technical expertise.

You Are Responsible For:

  • Handle technical presentations and customer demos
  • Handle POC sessions and drive technical win.
  • Win customer confidence and help close technical sales
  • Proactively follow up and close open issues with customers
  • Coordinate with sales, customers, and engineering teams.
  • Be an integral part of a successful sales cycle.
  • Provide training and technical updates to prospective customers.
  • Understand Cavirin’s products and the technologies around our platform.
  • Learn and keep abreast of competition, competitive issues and products.
  • Provide feedback to product management for customer feature requests.
  • Participate in sales, marketing, and partner events, and contribute to overall team success.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree and or experience in working in a pre-sales engineer role in the software industry.
  • Quick learner and understand technologies, relating to customer environments quickly.
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues and provide solutions.
  • Strong selling skills and impressive communication skills (written and oral).
  • Technical knowledge and experience with security, IP networking, DevOps concepts, IT Infrastructure, scripting (i.e., python), the public cloud (AWS, Azure, Google), SaaS delivery models, Windows, Linux and virtualization such as VMware.
  • Preferably located in the Bay Area and able to travel up to 25% of the time.
  • You must have the right to live and work in the United States to apply for this role.  At this time Cavirin cannot handle H-1B visa transfers between employers.
