For those of you who run your IT and business computing infrastructure on the Amazon Public Cloud (AWS), the concept of “tagging” is not new. Tagging is a grouping mechanism in AWS, that allows the organization of your cloud resources under user-friendly labels for easy identification. For example, a major healthcare corporation could create groups of cloud resources and label them with tags such as “patient info”, ”billing”, and “patient notifications” and assign dedicated workloads.

Reinventing how we connect at AWS re:Invent

This year’s AWS re:Invent conference in Las Vegas was full of excitement – from announcements about new services and features, to success stories, new partnerships, and so much more.

As the DevOps community looks to descend upon Vegas for the AWS re:Invent conference, I am reminded of some of the all time great quotes from Vegas themed movies.  Who can’t love the 1996 movie Swingers with Vince Vaughn and John Favreau.  One of the best one liners was “You’re so money and you don’t even know it!”
